Hello,

I am a 24 year old male. Im very physically active, and prioritize nutrition and health.Including running 12 to 20 miles a week, and outdoors activities. Im always learning new ways, and tricks to staying healthy. Recently I have experimented with marijuana.. Ive found alot of research showing its actually healthy for the body if injested. Most importantly to me its mental affects. It balances me out, and I feel like I enjoy life alot more.. Whats your opinion?

Go for it. I've been smoking marijuana for more than 2 decades and I'm still running marathons. Just keep everything in balance: marijuana use, exercise, work, academics, family, friends, etc.. All things in moderation. Marijuana is helpful for many conditions both physical and psychological.

Marijuana is bad for you!

I know that is not the answer you are looking for but it is the truth!

Hi, I wanted to ask you guys a few questions about trying marijuana.

Please do not tell me about how bad it is, the long side effects, health concerns, and legal issues. Because I’ve done my research and I know what I am risking. I am only going to try weed this ONE time, promise.

So, me and my friend are planning to try smoking weed on Saturday afternoon before seeing the new movie “Twilight” XD… just to see how a movie would look like stoned. We are only going to have one joint. The movie will last like.. 2 hours, and then we would hang at the mall for a few hours till the high dies down so we don’t get caught by our parents and then head home.

So here are my questions, I really appreciate you guys taking the time to answer these:

-What “effects” might I experiance after I have smoked the joint?

-How many hits should I take? Should I finish the whole joint if I’ve never done it before?

-Will smoking ONE joint (or just taking a few hits) make my clothes smell bad, even if I smoke it outdoors?

If so, will the smell go away after hanging at the mall for a few hours?

If not, how can I hide the smell from my parents when I go home?

- How long does it take bloodshoot eyes to go away?

- How long does a high from one joint last?

- What are the most obvious signs that someone has smoked a single joint? Or will a single joint cause signs?

- If I spend say, in total, 4-5 hours at the mall… will my parents still be able to tell when I get home?

And lastly, will smoking ONE joint cause my clothing to reak?

i just found out today that i am going to be smoking it out of a bong. does that change anything?

Since you are going into a public place, you might want to maybe smoke half the joint between the 2 of you, it may make you paranoid, so i would take it a little lightly the first time.Some people dont like to smoke because of this.

-Will smoking ONE joint (or just taking a few hits) make my clothes smell bad, even if I smoke it outdoors? Nah, wash your hands real good and use smelly lotion, or perfume

just short of two hours usually

Red eyes, dumbfounded look on your face. You can control it, just mind over matter. Just relax.

I wont try to sound like a mom, cuz you requested it, but, if you like it, im sure your promise is pretty empty.Just a little advice, moderation is key.Have fun and be careful!! Eat lots of gummy bears!!!

First of all you should know that marihuana is NOT legal in the Netherlands. Officially it is still illegal but de-criminalized. Which means that usually neither the police nor the courts will prosecute or convict the use or sale of marihuana. They haven't done this since the 1970s.

I am not aware of any serious study into a possible link between the use of marihuana and crime levels but (being Dutch myself) I consider it highly unlikely that the wide availability of marihuana in the Netherlands has increased crime. I also think it would be highly unlikely that someone would ever get funding for such research because nobody believes such a link exists.

There is however a serious drugproblem in the Netherlands (like other countries), especially with heroin. And yes, junkies in the Netherlands also commit crimes in order to fund their habit.

And with regard to SilverTongue's statement that there are such things as "1 quarter" lockers. I would love to know where they are!!! I have never heared of a locker in the Netherlands that cost anything less than 5 euro for 2 hours max. Lockers to put away your luggage are outrageously expensive and emptied every 24 hours by staffers at stations.
