Added an addition to my areoponic unit. Built a canopy that can hold many clamp on florecents. Cut my electric usage down to a 1/4 with 250% increase in light.

Great suggestion. I will add it to the list. Subscribe and rate for the video. The kind i use are full spectrium 150watt compact floresents

Yes it can clog and burnout .. just keep you fog chamber flushed on a regular bases to help the discs have a longer operation life.

Its all based on the lumin output of the bulbs. I use 150 watt compact florecent but they only use something like 36w to create 150watts worth of lumins.

    i like the system …
i like the system you built. the only problem i’ve heard from people that have grown with them is that not all the nutrients can get to the roots thru fog. have you had any deficiencies in nutes? like any elements missing such as sulphur, potassium, nitrogen etc? i really like the system tho. i have built a pvc tube system but i like the square posts that you used better. also with that fogger you don’t have to drill for misters on each side of the net sites. awesome!

You have an awesome system! Eagerly awaiting your vid on how it was built.

    Would you happen to …
Would you happen to know, if I were to use 100w compact fluorescent bulbs, would they need to actually be 100 watts or just emit the same amount of light as 100 watts? For example, Sylvania’s CFL replacement for 100w is actually only 23 watts.

    that is awesome, …
that is awesome, did i hear you correctly when you said that you turned off all the sprayers? if so how many plants can that one nurbulizer mist effectively for plants that size? and will the nerbulizer clog with nutruiants/minerals?

What kind of bulbs are those? Do you have any vids on grow lights and how to make a simple MH,HPS, or Flourescent setup?

    Did you build this …
Did you build this system? If so, can you post how you built it? Please?

  • Mefoo007 says:

    If you mean scaling …
If you mean scaling the entire system that is easy. This kind of system does very well for most everything except small herbs or greens were quantity is important. Scaling up i think would be very easy simple by adding more/longer root chambers dumping into the same resivour. This system can also be grown laying against a wall (upright) at an angle to save much space and grow upwards instead of sideways. I have another microgreens and lettuce growing system Vid coming soon that i built also.

    Thanks for the quick demo.

What are your thoughts on how to scale this up? What of urban farming environments? Restaurant supply? Green grocer supply?
